Hi! I'm a second-semester student in the MLIS program at San Jose State, completing a dual concentration in archival studies and academic librarianship. I'm also a genealogist and a Ph.D. student in English and comparative literature at Brandeis University – just a hop, skip and a jump (or a crash, if you misjudge the height of the Rockies) down the road in Boston, Mass, which is where I live. I would like eventually to work as a curator of a rare books and manuscripts collection, hopefully within my research field, which involves GLBTQ literature, particularly poetry, from 1855-1969. Roughly Whitman to Stonewall. I also focus on Renaissance and late medieval antecedents. But I'm (obviously necessarily) pretty open, and my interests are much much wider than that. When I don’t have my face crammed into a book, which is possibly far too often, I very much enjoy music, the outdoors and rollerblading. If you want to contact me, you can do so at penpiano at yahoo dot com. - Daniel
